I have just checked, i have it installed. I even tried to reinstall it, but
the problem is still there:

$ gcc -pthread
gcc: error: unrecognized command line option '-pthread'
gcc: fatal error: no input files
compilation terminated.
p.fedin@fedinw7x64 ~
$ g++ -pthread
g++: error: unrecognized command line option '-pthread'
g++: fatal error: no input files
compilation terminated.
