[ANNOUNCEMENT] New: krb5-1.12.1-2 (replaces: heimdal)

The following packages have been added to the Cygwin distribution:

* krb5-server-1.12.1-2
* krb5-workstation-1.12.1-2
* krb5-doc-1.12.1-2
* libgssapi_krb5_2-1.12.1-2
* libgssrpc4-1.12.1-2
* libk5crypto3-1.12.1-2
* libkadm5clnt_mit9-1.12.1-2
* libkadm5srv_mit9-1.12.1-2
* libkdb5_7-1.12.1-2
* libkrad0-1.12.1-2
* libkrb5_3-1.12.1-2
* libkrb5support0-1.12.1-2
* libkrb5-devel-1.12.1-2

This is the reference implementation of the Kerberos network authentication protocol from MIT. It is designed to provide strong authentication for client/server applications by using secret-key cryptography.

This update replaces the Heimdal implementation of Kerberos with MIT's, which is more commonly used by Linux distros, more frequently updated, and better supported by Kerberos-dependent packages.

UPGRADE NOTES:

* If you currently have 'heimdal' installed, this will be replaced by 'krb5-workstation', which provides the user clients (kinit, klist, kdestroy, etc.). If you wish to use the Kerberos daemons, you will need to select 'krb5-server' for installation as well.

* The 'libkrb5-doc' package will be replaced by 'krb5-doc'.

* Some libraries were used only by the Heimdal daemons. These packages have been removed from the distro and will appear in the Misc category in setup; they may be safely uninstalled.

* A few packages have yet to be rebuilt for MIT Kerberos. They should continue to operate as before, even with tickets and TGTs managed by the krb5-workstation tools.
