What's the output of `id'?

$ /usr/lib/csih/winProductName Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600) $ id uid=12779(knellis) gid=10545(knellis) groups=10545(knellis),0(root),544(Administrators),545(Users) $ uname -r 1.7.9(0.237/5/3) $

cygcheck -svr output attached

Thanks. Are you doing the above steps from a directory on your C or D drive? If D, is it an internal drive to that machine? If not, can you tell us the kind of drive it is and send the results of /usr/lib/csih/getVolInfo.exe /cygdrive/d to the list. If you don't have getVolInfo, please install the csih package.
