Hi,
I've been trying to get an application running which calls shmget -
despite running cygserver until now its always crashed with "Bad system
call". I stumbled upon the solution of copying the binary into /bin and
for some reason it works. Can anyone tell me what's special about /bin
that causes it to start working?
Nothing. I could speculate as to the possible significance of your
finding but it would likely be more productive for me to just point
you at the problem-reporting page and ask that you follow the guidelines
there, if you're still seeing this issue and need more help figuring it
out.
