A patch, including documentation, for something that I find useful! I can't help but wonder how much programmable completion could be taught to strip .exe by itself, but if you don't use bash-completion, this still makes sense (and even if you do, it is such a fundamental operation and certainly seems more efficient to build in below the compgen layer than making all compgen clients have to do it themselves).
