- Reply-to: cygwin at cygwin dot com
The zlib package has been updated to version 1.2.3-10. zlib is a standard lossless compression library. This is a packaging update.
[[ compiled using gcc-3.4.4-3 ]]
This is the first release specific for cygwin-1.7; the only differences between this package and the simultaneously-released zlib-1.2.3-3 for cygwin-1.5 are documentation related (the README references cygport-0.9.4 and cygwin-1.7.0-41, and the /usr/share/doc/ layout is influenced by the cygport changes between 0.4.x and 0.9.x).
CHANGES since 1.2.3-2
========================
o Fork for cygwin-1.7 development
o Split into separate packages. This is in preparation for the
expected DLL version bump when this package is rebuilt (on
cygwin-1.7 only) using gcc-4.x.
