I was about to suggest a small utility called "unlocker" [1]. It's free as in freeware but not FOSS, and not 64-bit ready.I just uploaded a new Cygwin 1.7 test release, 1.7.0-38.
I've noticed that 1.7.0-38 (possibly previous versions as well), contains:
/usr/share/man/manmingw/basename.mingw
I've just noticed this now because my install is currently hung because it claims it is in use (dunno why, all Cygwin processes are stopped). Is the inclusion of this file a packaging bug, since this is part of mingw-runtime?
