Hello,
I'm running this script and line 19 works when I create the variablea
and type the command at a shell prompt. But when I try to run it from
within the for loop it does not return a value and hangs?
A doctored up version (to fill in things you left out and make it consistent
with my system) works fine. I found the "hang" too but only if "$LOG" ==
"". In these cases, the "hang" is 'cat' waiting for input from the command
line.
