One question.. When you were trying with spaces.. Did you try escaping the \ ? (as in Program\\ Files)
I've found this to be necessary at times, though I can't remember an instance at the moment.
Does the command run from the console if you start it using the standard path? #yes#

Chris

Will have a go at the 'Program\\ Files' method

Brian has suggested a more versatile method. Use it instead.
But both of us have indicated that we can't see the point in the sqlrun variable (I don't particularly see the benefit of any of them over say, an alias in your bashrc).

Spinning complacently in the darkness, covered and blinded by a blanket
of little lives, false security has lulled the madness of this world
into a slumber. Wake up! An eye is upon you, staring straight down and
keenly through, seeing all that you are and everything that you will
never be. Yes, an eye is upon you, an eye ready to blink. So face
forward, with arms wide open and mind reeling. Your future has
arrived... Are you ready to go?
