I confirmed it, and it is weird (Ditto for "ln -s .. parent"). I'll investigate it further when I have more time, to see whether the fault lies in ls (part of coreutils) or is common to all cygwin programs using lstat. The link is properly showing up as size 1, so it seems like the `.' should be printing.
