This is expected.  Running sshd creates various files (logs, etc) that 
are only writable by the owner (you in this case).  So you can't run it
directly and subsequently as a service without cleaning up these files.

OK, so then what was the point of this thread again?  I've read it through
again from the beginning and I still can't figure out what, if anything, 
was the real problem that prompted you to post originally.
