RE: vi and cygwin


Not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but try this command-line
option with vim.

-+- man vim -+-

-C          Compatible.  Set the 'compatible' option.  This  will  make
                   Vim  behave  mostly  like  Vi,  even  though  a
.vimrc file
                   exists.
