There is a Windows limitation, no application may allocate more then 2GB
unless you specify the right value (e.g. /3GB) in the boot.ini file.

boot.ini example:

[Boot Loader]
Timeout=7
Default=scsi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[Operating Systems]
scsi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows 2K Server" /3GB
