Well, to be totally, utterly nitpicky, I believe "/WinNT/System32" is a valid POSIX filename which will be understood by Win32 programs as well (assuming that their current drive is "C:" :-).

And also assuming that your Windows installation is in WinNT. With XP that's C:\Windows!

For Windows 2000 the directory name is also "/WinNT" or "/WINNT".



(Hey you were the one that started this "totally, utterly nitpicky" stuff :-) )

And it ain't over yet.


%SystemRoot% need not be on the "C:" drive. On my system, it's on "D:", e.g.
