Nope, haven't installed either. Both machines are on a
LAN and the only firewall involved is on another
machine that is using XP's connection sharing. It uses
XP's built-in firewall. This has been my setup for a
few months now.
One other thing that I didn't mention: When I
backed-out the newer cygwin dll and re-installed the
earlier cygwin1.dll, everything worked again.
