- Subject: Problems with running Cygwin
I have installed Cygwin with the default-settings on Windows XP
professional.
If I want to run Cygwin, by running the "cygwin.bat" file the following
error message appears:
19 [main] bash -584 sync_wth_child: child 2820(0x5DC) died before
initialization with status code 0x0
580 [main] bash -584 sync_wth_child: *** child state waiting for longjmp
bash: fork: Resource temporily unavailabel
the "cygwin.bat" file has the following content:
@echo off
C:
chdir C:\cygwin\bin
bash --login -i
If I want to type in the command ls, grep, etc. a simmilar error-message
occurs.
If I start the bash-shell there commes no error-message but if I want to
execute some commands the message
" command not found appers".
Please help me.
Markus
