CYGWIN_NT-4.0 PACEARLE 1.3.3(0.46/3/2) 2001-09-12 23:54 i686 unknown
After updating on October 4, 2001 vim stopped working with an error that it
could not find cygncurses5.dll. I found the ncurses directory from my temp
directory and the libncurses5 directory contained libncurses5-5.2-1.tar.bz2
which I then ran tar xvfj of this file:
drwxr-xr-x cwilson/None 0 2001-09-14 23:03:00 usr/
drwxr-xr-x cwilson/None 0 2001-09-14 23:03:11 usr/bin/
-rwxr-xr-x cwilson/None 46080 2001-04-24 22:36:41 usr/bin/cygform5.dll
-rwxr-xr-x cwilson/None 26624 2001-04-24 22:36:41 usr/bin/cygmenu5.dll
-rwxr-xr-x cwilson/None 159232 2001-04-24 22:36:42 usr/bin/cygncurses++5.dll
-rwxr-xr-x cwilson/None 230912 2001-04-24 22:36:42 usr/bin/cygncurses5.dll
-rwxr-xr-x cwilson/None 15360 2001-04-24 22:36:42 usr/bin/cygpanel5.dll
>From here I moved all the contents of my local usr/bin to /usr/bin and vim
worked again.
