what do you mean by 1.3.3 solves it? I just run setup, and I have the latest
versions.

Yes, I use WinXP, and it has worked for a couple of weeks.

downloaded cygwin1-20010912.dll, and now it works again in WinXP for me.

I am going to bet that you are running WinXP.  This is common for
winXP.  To fix it, get a copy of the latest CVS snapshot of cygwin1.dll,
and things should be ok.  Actually, I wonder if 1.3.3 will fix it.  I
will have to check it out @ home sometime soonly.
