I'm trying to set up a CVS server on cygwin (installed only autoconf, bash,
crypt, cygwin, cvs, inetutils, login). My friend runs a server on cygwin,
and he sent me the exe he uses (we're both running under windows 98, if it
makes a difference to the CVS server). I setup the cvs server with cvs -d
:local:/p1cvs init, and I run it with cvs --allow-root=/p1cvs pserverd. I
have entries for the usernames in CVSROOT/cvsroot/passwd and etc/passwd, the
first my own and the second from my friend (but both with my cvs username in
them). When I login in winCVS (myuser@localhost:/cvsroot), I get the message
"cvs login: authorization failed: server localhost rejected access". Does
anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
