Hi,
After receiving a bounced email in response to the
following request for help to Stipe Tolj who is
responsible for porting Apache to Cygwin
<http://www.student.uni-koeln.de/cygwin/>, I have
resorted to this list.
---- ORIGINAL MESSAGE
Hi Stipe,
Thank you for the excellent pages on porting Unix
software to Windows. I'm trying to install Apache
1.3.6 using your HOWTO which has been invaluable.
Without it, I could not have gotten half as far as
I have.
So far I've been able to configure and make the
package but when I go to run 'make install' the
system replies "make: `install' is up to date." Do
you have any idea why this would be happening? I
have an existing copy of 1.3.6 installed from a
binary but renamed the directory so that I could
put a new one in the same location (I mounted
/usr/local to the same location as my old
executable-->f:\bin). I can send a copy of the
make results if that would be helpful. I'm also
installing the mod_fastcgi module. I am using
Windows NT4 SP5 with Cygwin 1.1.2.
------ END ORIGINAL MESSAGE
Thanks for any assistance,
William
