Does this happen with any particular non-cygwin app?

I run Win98 SE here, with Cygwin 1.2 installed. I just opened a DOS window,
did an ls -l from root, and piped the output to Vern Buerg's old DOS
LIST.COM pager. It worked as expected under JP Software's 4DOS 6.01, and
under vanilla COMMAND.COM. Attempting to pipe ls output to LIST under bash
didn't work, but that's a different matter.
