"type" in sh


Has this been reported before, or is it expected?
In sh (ash, not bash)

sh: type try
try is ./try
sh: pwd
/cygdrive/h
sh: type ./try
./try is /cygdrive/h/bin/share/./try
sh: echo $PATH
/cygdrive/h/bin/share:/cygdrive/h/b etc...
There is no try in /cygdrive/h/bin/share
