Hi Kendall

I find that the B20.1 distribution augmented with
the following quite satisfactory :-))

headers and libraries for the Win32 API
 http://www.acc.umu.se/~anorland/gnu-win32/

I recomend replacing the cygwin1.dll with this one

ftp://sourceware.cygnus.com/pub/cygwin/snapshot-19990115/cygwin1-19990115.dl
l.gz

And using the gcc2.95 compiler from
 ftp://ftp.xraylith.wisc.edu/pub/khan/gnu-win32/cygwin/gcc-2.95

For a faster console use rxvt
 http://www.io.com/~bub/rxvt.html

or just use a normal windows DOS console when you do not need a UNIX shell

Many Thanks to all those who have made CygWin what it is :-)))

Cheers
