If one compiles/links a program that uses a call from the Win32
advapi32.dll (such as GetUserName), it cannot be debugged with
gdb. When gdb attempts to debug such a program, the program crashes.
It seems a problem with at least the NT version of advapi32.dll
and not with gdb, as I have seen that too with IBM's debugger in
VisualAge C++ for NT. However, they have been able to add a
workaround for this problem in the latest version of their
debugger.
