Isn't England the country where people brew everything which can't defend
itself with their beer?  Like, say, vanilla, caraway, peppermint, mouse
blood, ground rat teeth,...

Naah, actually I don't even drink any beer.

Btw., I saw a TV spot a few days ago, in which they described that also
in Germany practically everything went into the beer, until monks found
that hop is the ideal ingredient.

*And* after the introduction of the purity-order in 1516.

*And* after this order got enforced by the local ruler. 

In that time, mouse blood was treated like Vi@gr@ today ;-)
