Please have a look.

Grrr, gcc doesn't emit these warnings with optimization off.

Speaking of warnings, has anyone tried building with CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS set to "-W -Wall -pedantic" lately? ;-)

What about sending patches instead, if that's such an urgent problem
for you? After all you're on cygwin-*developers* here, right?

Well I'm not the one who was complaining about the lack of relevant warnings. You seemed frustrated, so I offered a suggestion disguised as a rhetorical question. However, if I get some extra time, I'll try looking into them. I think we can all agree that while -Wall is pretty thorough, -W and -pedantic also catch the not-so-obvious corner-cases, too. Perhaps investigating the cause of the additional warnings triggered by those flags might be fruitful in one's attempt to solve the current outstanding issues? Just my opinion...

Cheers,
Nicholas
