hostid and ptrace

Subject: hostid and ptrace

I'm going to (hopefully) fix the hostid function by adding a patch to force
thread affinity to the same cpu each time. After that I've been toying for a
while with the idea of writing a ptrace implementation for Cygwin. Does
anyone have any input into this before I start?
