the test suite code needs. And, it needs to be in the winsup/cygwin directory.

I've uploaded a pthread-condvar6.exe.bz2 to the same location.  I assume
that this must have something to do with gcc 3.2, too, since it fails
so consistently for me.
So then why don't you try compiling natively on your XP machine using CC="gcc-2" and CXX="g++-2"? Seems it might eliminate another unknown if you can confirm Robert's findings.
