normalize_posix_path can't take root access into account yet.

Maybe I'll regret this, but I rewrote normalize_posix_path.  It seemed to
be doing a lot more checking of it's input than was required.  I tried
a wide variety of paths with  ../ /./ /../, etc., and it seemed to do
the right thing with all of them.
