I think it's pretty clear that upset doesn't care about colons in
setup.hint files.  If it did then lynx wouldn't have been available as a
package, right?

I agree that the usage should be deprecated but I'm not in any hurry to
rip the functionality out of upset.

Apologies if this observation has already been made.  I've only downloaded 2359
of 9121 messages so far.
